1. How Solace Works

Solace (also known as SoloBot) is an AI companion app. When you chat, your messages are sent to our secure server infrastructure (Cloudflare Workers) which processes them using AI language models to generate responses. Your conversations are stored server-side to enable session continuity and memory features.

2. Data We Collect

We collect the following data to provide our services:

• Authentication data — via Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In (account identifier, display name if shared)
• Device identifier — for account management and session association
• Chat messages and conversation history — stored on our servers for session continuity
• Memory vault entries — facts and context you choose to save
• Mood check-in records — mood type, intensity, tags, and notes
• Profile photos — only if you choose to upload an avatar
• Basic usage analytics — feature usage counts and session metrics via Firebase Analytics
• Subscription status — managed through RevenueCat

3. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used exclusively to provide and improve the Solace experience:

• Chat messages are processed by AI to generate responses
• Memories help the AI remember context about you
• Mood data powers your personal mood trends and insights
• Analytics help us understand which features matter most
• We do NOT sell your data to third parties
• We do NOT use your data for advertising

4. Third-Party Services

Solace uses the following third-party services:

• Firebase (Google) — Authentication and analytics
• RevenueCat — Subscription management and purchase validation
• AI language models (DeepSeek API) — For generating chat responses. Your messages are transmitted to DeepSeek solely for the purpose of generating responses.
• Cloudflare — Server infrastructure (Cloudflare Workers, D1 database)

Each service processes data according to their own privacy policies.

5. Data Security

All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Your conversations and personal data are stored securely on Cloudflare's infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit. Authentication tokens are stored in your device's secure keychain.

6. What We Don't Collect

• No device contacts
• No photos or files unless you explicitly choose an avatar image
• No precise location data
• No cross-app tracking

7. Website Analytics

Our marketing website (solobot-app.web.app) uses Google Analytics to understand visitor trends. This does not track individual users of the app — it only tracks anonymous page views on the website.

8. Your Rights & Control

You have complete control over your data:

• Export all your data at any time from Settings
• Delete individual messages or entire conversations
• Clear your memory vault
• Delete your account and all associated data permanently from Settings

Account deletion is irreversible and removes all server-side data.

9. Data Retention & Deletion

Conversation data is retained until you delete it. You can delete individual conversations from the sidebar, or delete your entire account and all data from Settings. Deletion is permanent and irreversible.

10. Children's Privacy

Solace is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.

11. Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
